Helps Boost A Child's Self-Esteem & Confidence Levels Through Meditation

I made this guided meditation for children aged from 2 to 11 years old. Allowing them listen to it at night or in quiet times during the day over a 6-8 week period will really help bring out their inner potentials. More specifically it will help them creatively find all the reasons that make them special, in doing so helping boost self-esteem, confidence, positivity, and general happiness levels.

How Does it Work?

Well first of all this is a great bedtime story and will help your child fall asleep very easily. On the recording is my guided meditation accompanied by a very calming classical music background soundtrack. In the story I use some metaphorical suggestions to capture the child's imagination & allow them ways to find solutions to any problems they are having. I find this way works better with children rather than simply telling them what to do - as we all know sometimes that has the opposite effect :) By listening to the program daily over a 6 to 8 week period, it will have the effect of helping create a more positive context of self for your child. Over time this will create a new perspective allowing them to address self-esteem issues and generally have much happier thoughts. This is a very positive way to introduce your child to the benefits of meditation too - as regular deep relaxation is very good for them emotionally, mentally and even physically.

What is Contained in the Meditation?

At the start I guide them into a nice calm relaxed place allowing them to switch off and enter into deep relaxation. From there I take them through a variety of situations where they are joined by other characters like Simon ('Simon Says') and a super hero. They are incorporated into the meditation to help activate the child's imagination and make suggestions as a neutral observer. This allows the child to respond in their own way free from any judgement or influence. At the end of the meditation I give the child an option to stay asleep or to wake up if they wish. Once they are asleep they will almost always keep sleeping, however I put this in there just in case it is used during the day and they have to wake up.

Designed to Supplement Quality 'One on One' Time

When my daughter Kiarne was little I used to use the exact same meditation-type stories when she was falling asleep to help her with her own issues. As a proud Dad now she is all grown up, I understand how important it was for us to spend one on one time together like this - so please don't look at this program as a replacement for your own time with your children, rather as an additional way of helping them through life's little challenges. In fact it would be nice to listen to this recording together with them while they fall asleep as it only goes for about 25 minutes.
